Congress Works to Improve Conditions In Poultry Farms

68 lawmakers are urging the Obama Administration to strengthen regulations for poultry farms, citing statistics that reveal inhumane treatment of hundreds of thousands of chickens. We learn more about the effort from Rep. Jim Moran of Virginia, who co-chairs the Congressional Animal Protection Caucus.

Saving the Greater Sage Grouse: The Endangered Species Act has proven to be an effective tool for protecting many threatened animals since it was established in 1973. Right now there are nearly 1400 species on the Endangered Species List and more than 40 that are waiting to be added, including The Greater Sage Grouse. But this distinctive bird of the western U.S. could be running out time.
