Dr. Marty Becker offers more insightful commentary about cats and author Joy Kiser tells the story of a 19th century woman who created a monumental volume of avian illustrations that equals, if not exceeds the famous bird paintings of John James Audubon. Ms. Kiser will speak and sign copies of her new book “America’s Other Audubon”, at the Smithsonian Institute’s Baird Auditorium in Washington, DC May 9th. Then we hear The Loh Down on Science with Sandra Loh and a story about the bio-electrical properties of snails.
