Very interesting show on bats! I was wondering whether the white nose syndrome fungus is in any way related to the chytrid fungus that seems to be affecting frogs? Also, have the researchers found any reason for the few populations in VT that seem to be surviving? (http://www.washingtonpost.com/national/health-science/little-brown-bats-...). As always, a fascinating show!
I wonder if the possibility of using a very distilled mist of tea tree oil (melaleuca), a natural fungicide, has been considered for use in bat habitats?
