Dr. Gary,

We have 6 year old English Bulldog (rescued of course) name Mila (Mee-La). We have had her for a year and a half.

She has a cork-screw tail pocket. Last year she got an infection in that we were unable to cure and were about 3 weeks away from a ~2,000$ tail removal, when we switched her from Lamb and Rice to a Buffalo and sweet potato food. The tail pocket got a lot better- in February. We wipe her butt after every poop and clean her tail pocket with dry paper towels. We have tried "soothing spray" and everything. I don't know what to do.

I am torn between risking aenestisia on her and determining to what degree her quality of life is currently impaired by the itching and irritiation this tail pocket causes her.

Thoughts?

Very Respectfully,
Atlasbulldog
