A few years ago, writer Robert Michael Pyle set out on a road trip with an unusual goal: to see as many North American butterflies as he could. His travels led to encounters with the Avalon Hairstreak, the Diana Fritillary, and other unusual butterflies. We’ll talk with Pyle about his butterfly "big year" and what he learned along the road.
