Turning aquarium waste water into something useful for a garden or a farm, in addition to creating a healthy environment for the fish is a process called aquaponics and it’s becoming popular with commercial farmers, home gardeners and relief organizations that provide food for the needy. We speak with Aquaponics pioneer, Rebecca Nelson, president of Nelson and Pade, a company that focuses on aquaponic technology and systems.
